UTRID Board Planning Retreat Minutes | November 11, 2019

Scholarship Committee
- Sheri Rameriz is now the chair
- Ben Daniel and Adam Janisieski will remain as the committee members
- When an application is received Sheri will contact the committee members for a discussion and vote. Ben will check UTRID membership and Adam will check RID membership.
- Action Item: Sheri will make a flyer to advertise scholarships to the membership
- Proposal: Kimm proposes that the scholarship amount for the coming year stay the same at $2250 per fiscal year

- Discussion: This amount still falls within budget and matches the scholarship requests from previous years

Procedures for Board Positions
- To help ensure that new board members are aware of their responsibilities and the board procedures, each position will have a basic procedure document
- Action Item: All board members will outline their position’s procedures in the shared Google Doc
PD Workshops – Theme: “Building a Vision of My team”
- Saturdays 9-12am at $30/members $65/non-member
- Jan 11th- “Teaming Starts with Me Workshop”- (Teddi)
- March 14th- “There’s No I In Team” – (Mike, Kaite M., Amber, Angela Spergeon)
- May 16th- “CDI and Me: Stronger Together”- (Samond, Joseph Featherstone)
- Sept 12th- “Hello, My name is…: Setting a Collaborative Tone” Soft skills (stay in room with client…work with all clients ) (Pamela, Trenton)
- Presenter compensation options:($50/hour, 2 year membership, or 2 free workshops)
- Budget for snacks/water: $25 per workshop
- Action Item: Greg will reserve the space for workshops at the Deaf center. Preferably the B/C classroom or lecture hall, ~40 people in attendance
