Workshop will cover a brief history of the LGBTQ+ rights movement and appropriate terms.
Interpreters will also have hands on practice interpreting related topics.

Following the workshop, interpreters will have the opportunity to sign up to volunteer their interpreting services for the upcoming Pride Festival June 1-2, 2019

Interpreters will learn about the trauma informed care philosophy.

Interpreters will learn what causes trauma and how to identify symptoms in victims.

Interpreters will learn best practices on Interpreting for victims of trauma.
